This Privacy Policy explains how Gomayz (“Gomayz”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use our website gomayz.com (the “Website”) and the mobile and web apps we publish under the developer name “Gomayz” on the Apple App Store, Google Play and other app stores (each an “App”, together with the Website the “Services”).

It does not cover apps we develop for clients and publish under their names. Those clients are responsible for their apps and publish their own privacy policies.

The short version

  • We collect only the data an App needs to work and to improve.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We never send your personal data to a third-party AI service without telling you and asking for your permission first.
  • You can delete your account and data at any time, in the App or on our account deletion page.
  • Questions: privacy@gomayz.com.

1. Who we are

Gomayz is an app development studio based in the United States. We decide how and why the personal data described here is processed, which makes us the data controller.

You can reach us about privacy at privacy@gomayz.com.

2. Data we collect

What we collect depends on the App you use and the features you choose. The App-specific information at the end of this policy lists what each App collects and which third-party services it uses.

2.1 Data you give us

  • Account data: your name, email address and password, which we store only in hashed form. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email address you allow them to share. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your real email address.
  • Content: text, photos, files and other content you create or upload in an App.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support, including your email address and anything you choose to include.
  • Purchases: payments for paid Apps, subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation of the purchase (product, date and status), never your card details.

2.2 Data collected automatically

  • Device and app information: device model, operating system and version, app version, language and time zone.
  • Usage data: which features you use and how you interact with an App, so we can improve it.
  • Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data.
  • Identifiers: an installation ID generated by the App. The advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, advertising ID on Android) is used only in Apps that show ads, and on iOS only if you allow tracking.
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address, used for security, fraud prevention and regional settings.

We collect precise location only when a feature needs it and you have granted permission.

2.3 Data we access with your permission

Some features ask for access to your camera, photos, microphone, contacts, location, notifications or health data. We ask when you first use such a feature, use the access only for that feature and process the data on your device wherever possible. You can withdraw these permissions at any time in your device settings.

2.4 Our Website

The Website does not use cookies or third-party analytics and does not track you across other websites. Our hosting keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time) for security and troubleshooting for up to 30 days. The Website remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage; this setting never leaves your device.

3. How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • provide the Apps: create and manage your account, sync your content, and process and restore purchases;
  • answer support requests and send service messages, for example about security or changes to this policy;
  • keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • understand how the Apps are used and fix problems, using aggregated or pseudonymized data where possible;
  • show ads in Apps that have them, as described in Section 5;
  • comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide an App and your account.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and improve the Apps, balanced against your rights and interests.
  • Consent: for optional analytics, personalized ads, device permissions and AI features where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
  • Legal obligation: to keep records required by tax and other laws.

5. How we share data

We share personal data only in these cases:

  • Service providers that process data on our behalf: cloud hosting and databases, sign-in, crash reporting and analytics, push notifications, subscription management, email and customer support. They may use the data only to provide their service to us and are required to protect it at least as well as this policy does.
  • Apple and Google, as app stores and payment processors, under their own privacy policies.
  • Advertising partners, only in Apps that show ads. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads; on iOS they require your permission to track.
  • AI providers, only in Apps with AI features, as described in Section 6.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, a court order or a lawful government request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or Gomayz.
  • Business transfers: if Gomayz is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction and remain protected by this policy.

The exact third-party services each App uses are listed in the App-specific information.

We do not sell personal information for money. If an App shows personalized ads, the ad partner receives identifiers and usage data; some US state laws treat this as a “sale” or “sharing”, and you can opt out as described in Section 11.

6. AI features

Some Apps include features powered by artificial intelligence, such as assistants, text or image generation and recognition. When you use such a feature:

  • the content you submit (for example text, images or audio) is sent to the AI provider named in the App-specific information to produce a response;
  • before any of your personal data is sent to a third-party AI provider, we tell you in the App what will be shared and ask for your explicit permission. You can keep using the rest of the App without it;
  • we use only AI providers whose terms do not allow them to use the content we send to train their models, and we do not use your content to train AI models ourselves without your separate consent;
  • AI output can be inaccurate; see our Terms of Use.

7. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

  • account data and content: while your account exists, and deleted within 30 days after you delete the account;
  • backups: overwritten within 30 days;
  • support messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends;
  • crash and diagnostic data: up to 90 days;
  • analytics data: up to 14 months, pseudonymized or aggregated;
  • purchase records: up to 7 years where tax or accounting law requires them;
  • Website server logs: up to 30 days.

We may keep aggregated data that cannot identify you for longer.

8. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time:

  • in the App: Settings → Account → Delete account;
  • on the web: on our account deletion page, without reinstalling the App;
  • by email: write to privacy@gomayz.com from the address linked to your account.

Deletion removes your profile and content as described on the account deletion page, which also lists the data we must keep and for how long. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the related Sign in with Apple tokens. You can ask us to delete specific data without deleting your account.

Deleting your account does not cancel subscriptions bought through Apple or Google. Cancel them in the store to stop future charges.

9. Your choices

  • Permissions: change access to the camera, photos, location, notifications and other data in your device settings at any time.
  • Tracking and ads: on iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can delete or reset your advertising ID in the device’s ads settings.
  • Analytics and AI features: where an App offers these settings, you can turn them off in the App.
  • Emails: any marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Service messages are part of having an account.

10. How we protect data

We protect personal data with measures that match the risk: encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where our providers support it, access limited to people who need it, and regular updates of our software and its dependencies. No way of sending or storing data is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal data we hold about you, access it and receive a copy in a portable format;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete your data;
  • object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw your consent;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling;
  • not be treated differently for exercising these rights.

To use these rights, email privacy@gomayz.com or use the account deletion page. We may need to confirm your identity, for example by asking you to write from the email address linked to your account. We reply within 30 days, or within 45 days for requests under US state laws, and may extend this period where the law allows. An authorized agent can make a request for you with proof that you authorized them.

California residents

This section applies under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA).

In the past 12 months we may have collected these categories of personal information, as described in Section 2:

  • identifiers such as your name, email address and device identifiers;
  • customer records and commercial information, such as purchases;
  • internet or other electronic network activity, such as app usage and diagnostics;
  • approximate geolocation;
  • audio, visual or health information, only when you choose to provide it.

We collect this information from you, from your device and from the services listed in Section 5. We use it for the purposes in Section 3 and disclose it to the categories of recipients in Section 5.

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If an App uses personalized ads, you can opt out of this “sharing” by turning off ad personalization in the App or on your device, or by emailing us. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where the law requires. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you the right to limit its use.

You may also ask about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes under California Civil Code § 1798.83 (“Shine the Light”).

Residents of other US states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and Oregon, have similar rights: to access, correct, delete and port their data and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. If the appeal is denied, you can contact your state attorney general.

EEA, UK and Switzerland

You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

12. Children

Our Apps are made for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and UK (or the minimum age set by your country), unless the App’s store listing and the App-specific information say otherwise. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under these ages. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact privacy@gomayz.com and we will delete it.

If we publish an App directed to children, we will follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families policy and the App Store Kids category rules. We will provide a separate notice for parents that explains what we collect, how we use it and parents’ rights, and will obtain verifiable parental consent where required.

13. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on adequacy decisions, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

14. Do Not Track

The Website does not track visitors across third-party websites, so it behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as described in Section 11.

15. Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least once a year and update it when our Apps or the law change. We post every new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we will notify you in the App or by email before they take effect.

This policy is also available in Russian. If the versions differ, the English version applies.
